12TH ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES COMMAND STAFF COURSE VISIT TO ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY

MUARA, Tuesday, 22 March 2022 – The 12th Royal Brunei Armed Forces Command and Staff Course (CSC) visited the Royal Brunei Navy at Muara Naval Base today. The visit consisted of 3 Directing Staffs, 19 Local officers  and 15 International officers namely from Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Singapore, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom firstly arrived at Naval Training Centre and were welcomed by Commander Norharirayati binti Yakub, Acting Chief of Staff.

A comprehensive presentation was then delivered by the Acting Chief of Staff pertaining to "Shaping the Royal Brunei Navy's Role of National Defence to meet contemporary threats". In attendance were First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy and Commander Willie bin Padan, Commandant Naval Training. The question-and-answer session was addressed by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy whom imparted extensive knowledge on the current maritime challenges and adaptive strategies for the Royal Brunei Navy.

Upon finishing the phototaking and exchange of gifts session, the course proceeded to KDB DARULEHSAN for an overview on the operating systems and capabilities before heading to the officer's mess for hi-tea. The aim of the visit is to provide CSC students a clear picture on Royal Brunei Navy's role in joint force integration nationally as well as promoting regional security in the maritime domain.
